West Encounters East will continue to seek out and promote artists who are descendants of the Asian diaspora to Latin America in an effort to facilitate broader communication between cultures in an age of increasing globalization, using a variety of media, from academic presentations and curated exhibitions to film, to increase arts education and appreciation as a means of encouraging understanding and tolerance among people everywhere.

Seeks out and promotes signal artists whose work crosses cultural divides through curated exhibits and documentary films.
Calls on art historians, cultural scholars and literary writers to educate viewers from all backgrounds, situating the artwork in a global, socio-historical context and developing a greater appreciation for the arts among the general public
